The hearts of football fans in Dallas and across the nation go out to the running backs coach of the Denver Broncos after the loss of both of his parents in a terrible wreck in Texas on June 5. The motorcycle accident happened outside Texhoma as the couple traveled down a highway and a semi-truck veered into their lane in a head-one collision.
Because of the loss for the team, the Denver Broncos postponed all media contact for the day. The team as a whole expressed their condolences to the coach and his family after the tragedy and promised to provide their support in any way they could during the stressful time.
The running backs coach has been with the team for four years, but has been in the NFL for 17 seasons. He worked as a transitional head coach in between the firing of the previous head coach and the hiring of the current head coach. After the new coach took over, he stayed with the team as the running back’s coach.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the wreck. Weather conditions were good, and no adverse road conditions were noted. It is unclear if alcohol or other substances were involved, and officials don’t know what caused the semi-truck driver to move into the oncoming lane of traffic.
The running back coach has lost both of his parents after a tragic motorcycle accident for unknown reasons. He could want to hold the responsible parties accountable for the accident and might enlist the help of a personal injury attorney. The attorney might be able to pursue a civil lawsuit for wrongful death so that the running back coach and other family members can seek compensation for the loss of their loved ones.
